Role Summary:



We are seeking a practical, reliable individual to assist with general workshop tasks on a

self-employed basis

. Work will be offered on an as-needed basis depending on current orders. This arrangement is suitable for someone seeking occasional or part-time work, such as a school leaver, hobbyist, or retired individual wishing to stay active.

You will provide workshop support services on site at our premises in Duns.

Typical Duties May Include:



Preparing and cutting wood and other materials for production Assembling and finishing product components Sanding and general preparation of items Maintaining a tidy and safe working area

Requirements:



Strong practical ability and willingness to learn Capable of working safely and following basic workshop procedures Dependable, punctual, and honest Comfortable carrying out manual tasks Experience useful but not essential - guidance will be provided on specific processes

Key Terms of Engagement:



This is a

self-employed position

. You will be engaged as an

independent contractor

, not as an employee, worker, or apprentice. You may accept or decline offered work. No minimum or regular hours are guaranteed. Payment will be made per completed task, session, or agreed hourly rate (to be discussed). You are free to undertake other work elsewhere.
