Overview



We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented

Assistant

to support our technical and operational teams. The ideal candidate will have an interest in mechanical and technical work, be willing to learn, and demonstrate attention to detail in assembly and maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities



Assist with the assembly of equipment using schematics, technical drawings, and work instructions Carry out routine maintenance on machinery and equipment under supervision to ensure safe and efficient operation Learn to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely for assembly and repair tasks Support equipment repair, fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance programmes Safely assist with heavy lifting and handling of components and materials in line with health and safety procedures Provide a high standard of customer service by responding to client queries related to equipment functionality Follow all health and safety policies, particularly when carrying out maintenance, welding, and manual handling tasks Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring tools and materials are stored correctly after use Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process or efficiency improvements

Qualifications & Skills



No previous experience is required, as

full training will be provided

An interest in mechanical, engineering, or technical work is essential Basic understanding of tools or practical work is desirable but not mandatory Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and develop new skills Ability to carry out manual handling tasks safely Good organisational skills and attention to detail Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment Any relevant mechanical or engineering qualifications or certifications are an advantage but not essential
