Job Description

We are looking for a workshop assistant to join our team in signage production.

In this role you will be expected to show your practical side in the production of commercial signage using tools and working with a range of materials and manufacturing processes.

Company description

At Douglas Signs we make a wide range of signs for small business and large international brands including Harrods, Hotel Chocolat, Sephora and many more. We also manufacture a lot of large, industrial scale architectural signage. We fabricate most of our products in house so you will be able to see the manufacturing of our designs first hand and gain an in-depth understanding of processes and materials involved. We are a small team, so working here involves a lot of communication with every part of the operation.

Job Title:

Workshop Assistant

The Role:

You will be expected to aid in the manufacture of signage, this may involve wiring of signage, sanding, painting and general assembly bringing the design departments drawings from paper to reality.

Skills:

Good knowledge of tools, basic understanding of materials and a good ability to interpret instructions.

Desirable Qualities:

Good sense of humor. Good communication skills. Attention to detail is required, many jobs involve large quantities of signs and an attentive eye will aid you in checking through each item and making sure there are no mistakes. Good time management, we work at a fast pace and the ability to organise your time for each task in order to meet deadlines is necessary.

Schedule:

Mon-Thurs: 8am-5pm

Friday: 8am-4:30pm

Overtime: As Required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 25,000.00-30,000.00 per year
