NI Trucks - Workshop Foreman



NI Trucks is a commercial vehicle dealership and we have a vacancy for an experienced

Workshop Foreman

within our Portadown service department.

Based in a busy workshop environment you will be required to combine your role as a Foreman with that as a Technician to be at least semi productive. As Workshop Foreman you will maximize customer satisfaction by ensuring all work carried out in the workshop if on time and of the highest standard of quality. You will be required to assess the quality and technical competency of the technicians by reviewing their work on a daily basis and ensuring they work efficiently and effectively. You will be responsible for technical communication with the manufacturer. You will be responsible for keeping the Workshop Controller and the Service Manager constantly updated with the progress of jobs in the workshop.

Candidates must have the following attributes:



1. You must have extensive knowledge and experience of working with light and heavy commercial vehicles

2. To be considered for our positions you must have worked in an Iveco franchised dealership and have in depth knowledge of the manufacturers' processes and warranty repair methodology.

3. You must have practical knowledge of full range (light and heavy) commercial vehicle modern diagnostic equipment/techniques.

4. You must be computer literate.

5. You must have a detailed knowledge of the Iveco 'EASY' diagnostic system.

6. You must have a full, clean valid driving licence.

7. You must have proven experience of managing a team of Technicians in a busy workshop environment and be able to illustrate positive achievements through mentoring and motivation.

8. You will displays a high level of enthusiasm and self motivation that gains the respect of others to deliver excellent productivity results.

9. You will be demanding of your team while focused on targets and have exceptional pride in achieving first time fixes and exceeding customer expectations.

Desirable criteria:



10. Having a C + E (class 1) driving licence would be beneficial but is not essential.

11. Experience of using 'Kerridge' DMS.

Please note:



12. The main working hours for this role are 0830 to 1700 Monday to Friday.

13. Work on the evening shift or Saturday mornings may also be required and successful applicants must be flexible with regard to working hours.

14. You will be expected to undertaking training to acquire a Class C1 licence once you commence employment If you do not have this licence.

15. All technicians are required to attend Iveco training courses in England and attendance is mandatory and successful candidates must be able to travel.
