Hardlife (UK) Ltd are looking for an experienced and hands-on
Workshop Foreman
to lead our busy fabrication and hydraulics workshop. You will coordinate daily production, supporting and motivating the welders, and ensuring every job leaves us on time, built to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage daily workshop production schedules
Coordinate with management, sales, technical, and procurement teams
Supervise and support welders to maintain quality and efficiency
Monitor stock levels and order materials and consumables
Carry out welding and fabrication tasks as required
Operate a forklift for material handling (license preferred)
Ensure workshop safety, cleanliness, and quality standards are met
Quality Control
Requirements
Proven welding and fabrication experience (MIG/TIG/stick)
Sound knowledge of hydraulic systems
Competent with a range of workshop machinery and tools
Strong communicator and team coordinator
Good understanding of Health & Safety policies and safe work practices
Able to plan, prioritise, and deliver under pressure
Previous leadership or supervisory experience
Forklift licence, or willingness to obtain one
A keen eye for detail
Desirable Experience
Heavy equipment fabrication, or similar industries
A working understanding of Hydraulics systems
Workshop or production management experience
Quality control or inspection experience
