Circa 35,000 + commission per completed van (deadline-based bonus)
About Wildworx
Wildworx builds rugged, off-road capable campervans designed to be used properly. We are not a volume converter and we are not lifestyle-led. Every van is bespoke, technically sound, and built by highly skilled specialists.
As demand grows, we are looking for a Workshop Manager who can take ownership of the factory floor, introduce robust systems, and ensure vans are delivered on time, to spec, and without compromise.
This is a hands-on role, not an office-based management position.
The Role
The Workshop Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the workshop, managing workflow, systems, people, parts, and deadlines.
You will lead a team of 4 highly experienced conversion technicians, each with specialist skills (cabinetry, auto electrics, mechanical, finishing). These are senior tradespeople -- this role is about coordination, planning, systems, and accountability, not micromanagement.
You will also be expected to build vans alongside the team, lead by example, and take full ownership of delivery timelines.
Key Responsibilities
Workshop & Production Management
Own the end-to-end build process for all campervan conversions
Plan, schedule, and manage builds to meet agreed lead times
Identify bottlenecks and continuously improve workflow efficiency
Ensure consistent build quality across all vans
Take responsibility for workshop organisation, layout, and efficiency
Systems & Process Implementation
Design and implement practical systems
Build stages & sign-offs
Job tracking and progress visibility
Parts ordering and stock control
Standardised build procedures where possible
Introduce structure without slowing the team down
Create systems that enable vans to be completed on time, every time

Maintain a positive, professional, and accountable workshop culture

Oversee ordering of all parts and materials for builds
Ensure parts are ordered in advance to avoid delays, while at the same time adhering to "just in time" ordering where possible.
Work closely with suppliers to manage lead times
Maintain stock levels for common components
Hands-On Build Work
Actively work on campervan builds alongside the team
Support specialist areas where needed
Ensure builds align with design, specification, and customer expectations
Design & Technical Input (Desirable)
Read and interpret technical drawings and build plans
Experience with Fusion 360 or Sketch Up(CAD) beneficial, particularly for cabinetry and layouts
Provide practical feedback into design for manufacturability and efficiency
