The Workshop Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the electrical control panel manufacturing workshop. This role ensures production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards, engineering drawings, and regulatory requirements. The supervisor leads technicians and electricians, coordinates workflow, and helps maintains a safe and organized workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily workshop activities related to the manufacture of electrical control panels and systems
Plan and assign work to electricians, panel builders, and technicians based on production schedules and priorities
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with electrical standards, company procedures, and safety regulations
Review electrical drawings, schematics, and bills of materials to ensure correct interpretation
Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to help meet delivery deadlines
Conduct quality inspections of completed panels and in-process work to ensure compliance with specifications
Promote health, safety, and housekeeping standards within the workshop
Mentor, and evaluate workshop staff to improve skills, productivity, and workmanship
Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams regarding materials, design changes, and schedules
Support testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities when required
Qualifications & Experience
Experience in electrical control panel manufacturing, with supervisory experience preferred
Good understanding of control panels, MCCs, VFDs, and industrial electrical components
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawings
Knowledge of relevant electrical standards

May require extended hours to meet project deadlines

Salary 35k - 45k+ depending on experience
