Inspiration Marine are seeking to expand their Commissioning & Aftersales Team, based at Hamble Point Marina with an experienced Commissioning & Aftersales Engineer.

We are looking to recruit an suitably qualified individual and therefore you must have experience in a similar or comparable role.

As the sole UK & Ireland distributors for Hanse, Dehler and Moody Sailing Yachts along with Fjord Motor Yachts and Privilege & HH Catamarans, we deliver a broad portfolio of both sail and power boats to our clients. We are a friendly, professional team who are committed to going above and beyond.

As part of the Commissioning & Aftersales Team you will have a varied and interesting role including;

General Commissioning and PDI inspections of newly constructed yachts. Inspection and testing of on-board systems including plumbing, power, navigation and mechanical systems. General rigging and sail setup, working with our professional riggers. Checking for cosmetic snags or discrepancies including gelcoat and fibreglass work. Reporting back to the Commissioning & Aftersales Managers and ensuring all PDI paperwork is accurately completed. Conducting handovers with our owners on their new boats, demonstrating all systems, procedures and undertaking test sails where required. Managing any warranty jobs by attending to vessels locally, inspecting for any potential issues and ensuring they are rectified in a timely and professional manner.
Other duties include:

General maintenance on existing boats, overseeing contractors. Working alongside our brokerage team to assist with any ad-hoc jobs Occasional boat shows and office events Occasional travel to Europe for non-UK deliveries and warranty work
Knowledge and engineering experience of sailing yachts and the onboard systems up to 60ft is essential and confidence to handle vessels of this size is a bonus. You will need an exceptional eye for detail and excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
