The Role

The vacancy we have is for a for a full time

Yard Assistant

at our

Exeter

branch who will be responsible for handling and maintaining yard stocks, loading and unloading both customer, supplier and company delivery vehicles. Serving customers, advising on stock, availability and product ranges.


The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring that the premises are kept to a high standard to comply with Health & Safety regulations, maintaining a clean and tidy yard and working area.


All this under the authority of the Branch Manager.

The Requirements

Experience loading & unloading goods (advantageous). FLT licence (advantageous). Builders merchants experience (advantageous). Excellent customer service skills. Excellent communication skills. The ability to communicate at all levels. Self-motivated with a can-do attitude. Strong team player who works as part of a team and independently.

The Hours

Week 1: Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00


Week2: Monday to Friday 08:00-17:00 Saturday 08:00-12:00
