We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift/Yard Man to join our dedicated team.

As a Forklift/Yard Man, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished products in and out of the factory. You will be responsible for unloading goods, loading lorries for deliveries to site, and ensuring the correct materials are ready for the factory operatives to work with. Your attention to detail, safety standards, and ability to follow instructions will ensure that operations run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Unload goods and materials from deliveries using a counterbalance and sideloader forklift. Load lorries with the correct materials for site deliveries, following instructions from the supervisor. Pick and prepare material lists for saw/lorry dispatch to ensure production needs are met. Ensure all materials are to hand and readily available for factory operatives to maintain smooth production flow. Maintain a safe and organised yard and warehouse area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Assist in managing stock levels and keeping track of materials. Support the factory team with any other duties as required.

Requirements:

Valid counterbalance forklift and sideloader forklift licenses. Previous experience working in a warehouse or yard environment, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Strong understanding of health and safety procedures. Ability to follow instructions carefully and work well within a team. Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
