Seabrook Developments Ltd, an established and expanding construction company specialising in Groundworks, Water Treatment Works, Factory refurbishments, is seeking a Yard and Warehouse Operative for our new office and depot located in South Hanningfield.

Reporting to onsite management, you will be responsible for the day-to-day organisation and stock control of the warehouse and yard. This includes preparing equipment for dispatch to site, as well as checking, cleaning, and maintaining equipment upon its return. Mechanical experience and previous employment within the construction industry would be a distinct advantage.

Applicants should ideally have experience in a warehouse or yard environment, hold a forklift licence, and possess a full driving licence. As there is no public transport available, your own means of transport is essential for getting to our office.

We are looking for someone with a positive, can-do attitude, strong attention to detail, and a flexible approach to work. You must be physically fit, punctual, reliable, and able to work to a high standard, with good communication skills and a strong team ethic.

Key responsibilities include:

Receiving deliveries and collecting plant from site. Preparing equipment for dispatch to site Completing inspections on returned equipment and ensuring it is cleaned, serviced and ready to go back out on site. Carrying out routine checks on plant and machinery, including fluid levels, charging, and refuelling so equipment is ready for immediate use Identifying faults or maintenance issues and reporting them promptly Regularly starting and running plant to ensure it remains in good working order Keeping the yard clean, tidy, and well-presented for visitors

Skills / Requirements:

Yard or warehouse experience Mechanical aptitude Ability to organise and maintain a busy yard environment Forklift licence Full driving licence Experience in equipment servicing and preparation Construction industry experience (advantageous)
Salary will be dependent on experience.
