Job Description

We are looking for a Yard Operative / Forklift Driver to join our team at our base in East Tullos Industrial Estate, Aberdeen.

Main Purpose of The Role:

Carries out loading/unloading containers within yard area using up to and including 12 Tonne Forklift truck safely and according to approved company procedures. Working closely with the Office to check stock levels and ensure all incoming and outgoing CCU units are logged accurately and load deliveries for drivers. All according to instructions from Supervisor and complying with company approved QHSE policies and procedures.

Main Tasks:

- Unloading/Loading of Cargo Carrying Units (CCU)

- Pre ship CCU units as per customers requirement

- Receive all incoming goods according to procedure.

- Ensure CCU units are accurate & match certification.

- Ensure stock levels are recorded.

- Ensure all CCU units are checked against delivery note.

- Keeping yard clean, tidy, and orderly at all times to allow safe movement of personnel and equipment.

- Responsible for ensuring tasks are conducted in a safe manner and in accordance with applicable company procedures

- Ensure allocated equipment, tools etc are used in a safe and correct manner and not subject to misuse or abuse.

-The job holder may be required to carry out any other related or associated roles, tasks or duties, which they can be trained, instructed and supervised to do safely and according to changing business requirements.

Person Specification:

Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.

Previous work experience in a similar role - Desirable.

Forklift B2 Certificate - Essential

Prior experience with manual handling, including the safe operation of equipment and tools.

Positive and motivated with a willingness to participate in a changing environment

Logical mindset.
