Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Yard Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting yard operations, handling materials, and maintaining a safe and organised yard environment.
Duties
Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment, including forklifts where qualified Deal with contractors and public customers in a profesional manner Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and handling of goods Manage materials handling tasks efficiently, maintaining organisation within the yard Perform heavy lifting tasks safely, adhering to health and safety guidelines Support general yard organisation, including cleaning, stacking, and securing materials Operate forklifts and other machinery safely, subject to certification and training requirements
Experience
Previous experience working in a builders yard environment is preferred but not essential Valid Fork Lift Truck Licence preferred but full training can be given Basic mathematical skills for inventory counting and measurements Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in materials handling tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: 24,500.00-29,000.00 per year
