Job Description

Barley Chalu is looking for a friendly individual to join our Goods-in team. The Yard picking operative would be involved in picking aluminum profiles out of customer skips and organising them into where they need to be taken within the site. The job benefits from working outside all year round. Responsibilities may include helping load pre-treatment lines, completing simple paperwork or supporting work on factory floor.

Full training will be given. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar environment, holding a forklift license, be organized and reliable, with good communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organising profiles into stillages. Using a Forklift to transport work. Limited paperwork. Help with booking in of work coming of off lorries. Unloading and loading lorries, generally using a forklift. Load baskets, when necessary. Product runs (collect metal material and powder from factories) for the correct and safe loading to required areas. Fork lift use (organising material and collecting powder boxes on wheels for loading). Correctly identify material and quantities for each process and factor.

Hours:

40 PER WEEK (PLUS PAID OVERTIME AS REQUIRED)

7.00 A.M. - 4.00 P.M. Monday to Friday + O/TIME and weekend days as required

Summary

As a Yard Picking Operative, you will be integral to our warehouse operations, focusing on efficient picking and packing of goods. Your premium skills with forklift operation and warehouse management systems will enhance productivity, while your relevant skills in quality control and heavy lifting will maintain high standards. Strong communication skills are essential as you collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals in a fast-paced environment.
