Job Purpose

The Yardperson will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, organisation, and maintenance of materials, products, and equipment within Relinea's yard. This role ensures smooth workflow between production, dispatch, and delivery operations while maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Load and unload vehicles using appropriate lifting equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, pallet trucks). Organise and maintain stock of materials and finished products in designated yard areas. Assist with the preparation and packaging of orders for dispatch. Ensure all yard operations comply with company health and safety policies and procedures. Carry out routine inspections of equipment, tools, and vehicles to maintain operational standards. Work closely with production and logistics teams to support efficient workflow and timely deliveries. Maintain accurate records of stock movements and yard activities. Keep the yard clean, tidy, and hazard-free at all times. Assist with general maintenance and minor repairs as required.

Essential Criteria

Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or manufacturing environment. Valid forklift licence. Good awareness of health and safety regulations. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong organisational and communication skills. Reliable, punctual, and proactive attitude.
