Job Description

We are currently seeking a

reliable and motivated Part-Time Yard Operative

to support our waste management/environmental services operations. This role would ideally suit an

ex-tradesperson

or someone with a strong hands-on background who takes pride in maintaining a safe, organised working environment.

Role Overview

The Yard Operative will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of the yard and providing practical support to the wider operations team. This is a varied, physically active role requiring a proactive and dependable individual.

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe yard at all times Moving vehicles and equipment within the yard as required Delivering and collecting stock locally Disassembling furniture and equipment for disposal Sorting materials and placing waste into appropriate containers Undertaking basic DIY and general maintenance tasks Supporting operational staff with ad-hoc duties as needed

Candidate Requirements

Physically fit and comfortable with manual work Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently Practical and methodical approach to tasks Previous trade, construction, maintenance, or similar hands-on experience preferred
A valid driving licence would be necessary.
