Overview

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Yard Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with materials handling, loading and unloading goods, and maintaining the organisation of the yard.

Responsibilities

Load and unload materials using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and manual handling techniques Assist with organising and maintaining the yard to ensure safety and efficiency Operate forklift trucks safely and effectively, adhering to all health and safety regulations Handle materials with care, ensuring proper storage and disposal where necessary Support shipping and receiving operations by preparing goods for dispatch or receipt Assist with basic mechanical tasks related to yard equipment and vehicles Follow all safety protocols during heavy lifting, materials handling, and equipment operation

Requirements

Previous experience in warehouse operations or construction environments is desirable Knowledge of forklift operation and safety procedures is preferred but not essential Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently Good organisational skills with attention to detail Physical fitness to perform manual tasks throughout the shift Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: 12.21-14.35 per hour
