Unload deliveries and check the contents against delivery notes and purchase orders.
Support driver in unloading of floodlighting columns with Hi-ab vehicle.
Inspect materials and equipment for any damage and report discrepancies or issues to project managers.
Accurately document and record incoming goods.
Storage Management:
Organize and store materials and equipment in designated areas within the yard.
Ensure proper storage to prevent damage and facilitate easy retrieval.
Maintain a neat, organized, and safe yard environment.
Understand the needs of business and organise to facilitate a smooth and efficient operation.
Inventory Control:
Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
Use internal stock management system to update stock levels and maintain accurate records of stock.
Advise operations on movement speed of varieties of stock so orders can be placed to fulfil deliveries to site teams.
Report low stock levels and coordinate with operations to reorder supplies as needed.
Site Materials Fulfilment:
Pick and prepare kit for dispatch accurately and efficiently for site installation teams.
Support driver in loading of floodlighting columns with Hi-ab vehicle.
Ensure materials are properly labelled and packaged for delivery.
Ensure materials are accurately recorded in inventory.
Coordinate with Operational Admin to schedule and arrange for the collection/distribution of goods.
Health and Safety Compliance:
Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
Operate yard equipment safely and in accordance with training. Including manual and electric pump trucks.
Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly to the Operations Director.
Maintenance and Housekeeping:
Regularly inspect yard equipment and report any maintenance needs.
Perform basic maintenance tasks as required.
Loading/Unloading of vehicles.
Keep the yard clean and free of debris to ensure operational efficiency.
Ensuring equipment used on site is in good order and equipment being returned has been monitored and maintained. Reporting all defects to Operations Director.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed and accurate records of all yard activities.
Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant data for the fleet.
Communicate effectively with other departments.
Skills and Experience
Experience:
Previous experience in a yard or storesman role is preferred.
Experience with inventory management systems.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling goods and documentation.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Basic computer skills.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
Understanding of health and safety regulations in a warehouse setting.
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift and move heavy items.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Working in various outdoor weather conditions, including rain, heat and cold.

_ 40 hours per week
Places of Work: Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
Salary: 12.75 - 14.00 per hour depending on experience
