Year 3 Class Teacher - Islington

We are seeking a passionate and reflective Year 3 Teacher to join a dynamic and supportive primary school in the heart of Islington. You will be leading a class of 27 children, supported by two additional adults: a full-time class TA and a 1:1 support assistant for a pupil with an EHCP.

The class has a diverse academic profile: 55% of pupils are currently on track to meet national expectations in reading, writing, and maths by the end of Key Stage 1, while 45% are working below national average. The role will suit a teacher who is committed to raising outcomes and nurturing progress for all learners.

What We're Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in Key Stage 2, ideally with Year 3 High expectations and a nurturing approach that enables every child to thrive Strong classroom management and inclusive teaching strategies A commitment to closing the attainment gap and accelerating progress Willingness to reflect, learn and contribute to whole school improvement Confidence working with teaching assistants and external professionals Enthusiasm for working in partnership with families and the wider community
