Nxtgen Sport specializes in the development of youth football, focusing on technical and tactical skills to build players' confidence and competence on the field. We work with children ages 5 to 14, guiding them in mastering essential skills such as passing, shooting, dribbling, and technique. Additionally, our program incorporates tactical understanding, strength and conditioning, ensuring holistic player development.
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate, charismatic, and experienced football coach who has both a history of playing and coaching football. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to helping young athletes reach their full potential, with a strong focus on improving technical skills and enhancing tactical understanding. You should be capable of planning and delivering engaging training sessions that foster skill growth, sportsmanship, and a love for the game.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and Deliver Training Sessions:
Create and conduct football training sessions that focus on technical (passing, shooting, dribbling) and tactical development.
Motivate and Inspire:
Act as a role model, inspiring children to grow both as players and individuals, instilling confidence and discipline.
Maintain a Safe and Positive Environment:
Ensure that all sessions are conducted safely and inclusively, fostering a positive learning environment.
Reliability and Consistency:
Commit to scheduled training times and locations, providing a dependable presence for players and parents alike.
Adaptability and Communication:
Tailor sessions to suit the varying skill levels of players and maintain open communication with parents and Nxtgen Sport staff.
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience in Football Coaching:
Demonstrated experience as a football coach, ideally with experience playing at a competitive level.
FA Level 1 Coaching Certificate (minimum):
An FA Level 1 (or higher) coaching qualification is required.
Clear DBS and Safeguarding Record:
A valid DBS check and safeguarding certification are mandatory.
Transportation and Equipment Handling:
Driving is desirable for commuting to training locations and transporting equipment, although all equipment will be provided.
Strong Communication Skills:
Ability to engage and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
Availability:
Ability to commit to weekday after-school sessions and weekend morning sessions as scheduled.

Upon successful completion of all safety checks, coaches will undergo a trial session to assess suitability.
