About the Role
Chadwell Healthcare Ltd is seeking an experienced
Youth Justice Officer
with strong statutory Youth Justice experience. The ideal candidate will be a
Qualified Social Worker or Probation Officer
with expertise in Asset Plus assessments, managing high-risk young people, youth court work, and complex caseloads.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and supervise statutory orders and ensure compliance with court requirements.
Prepare high-quality reports, including pre-sentence and referral order reports.
Represent the Youth Justice Service in Youth Court, Crown Court, and occasional weekend/Bank Holiday courts.
Carry out Asset Plus assessments, risk assessments, and create effective intervention plans.
Work directly with children, young people, and families in the community and during home visits.
Support young people remanded to LA accommodation and those in custody, including resettlement work.
Promote multi-agency working and attend case reviews.
Provide restorative justice opportunities and contribute to safeguarding decisions.
Essential Requirements
Minimum
2 years statutory Youth Justice experience
.
Qualification as a
Social Worker
or
Probation Officer
(preferred).
Strong experience with
Asset Plus
and risk management tools.
Skilled in court work, multi-agency collaboration, and managing high-risk cases.
Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing abilities.
