Salary:

Aged 16yrs+ (must not be in full-time education)

Under 18's - 7.55 per hour

18 - 20 - 10.00 per hour

21 and over -12.21 per hour

The Apprenticeship will take a minimum of 18 months to complete

Our Level 3 Youth Support Worker apprenticeship offers a fantastic opportunity to begin a career supporting young people. This apprenticeship combines practical work experience with formal training, leading to a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification, equivalent to two A-levels. You'll gain experience in a variety of settings, working with young people to help them achieve positive outcomes and develop essential life skills.


You will work as part of our new Youth Offer and Participation Team to support the development of the youth offer and participation offer across Walsall . You will help gather the thoughts and feelings of children and young people using different creative methods, including media, to capture their voice. You will help plan our annual Walsall Children and Young People Summit; regular Youth Debates; help support our Young Carers Team; and be key in setting up our Youth Collaborative. You will be a positive mentor to children/young people and offer your own experiences to support them in having their say, engaging in decision making and positively engage in positive activities. You will also support our group work programmes, training and employment appointments, along with other exciting opportunities!
