Youth Worker - 13 Hours - Salary: 12.88 per hour

Our Charity

Our charity delivers youth work to hundreds of young people in Cleator Moor and Frizington. You will help to plan and deliver sessions that are fun, developmental and discuss the issues that affect young people's lives. You will build up relationships and be a role model to our young people. In school holidays you will take part in trips, residentials and other fun activities with young people.

When

This role will involve one daytime office shift in our Cleator Moor Office along with three evening youth work sessions in Frizington Youth Centre each week and very occasional weekends to meet the needs of local young people and our local communities.

The extras

We don't expect you to have youth work qualifications or have worked in a youth club before. Its your inter personal skills and positive attitude that we are interested in. This post is a regulated activity and subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure in the event of being offered this position, costs of which will be paid for by the charity.

Responsibilities

Engage with youth in various settings to provide support and guidance. Develop and implement mentoring programs tailored to individual needs. Facilitate educational activities and workshops to enhance learning. Monitor and evaluate the progress of youth to ensure effective support.
