About the Role

As a Residential Day Support Worker, you will be part of a supportive team, delivering hands-on care to children and young people in a nurturing environment.

You will:

Provide personalised support including personal care and daily living tasks. Build positive relationships that foster trust and confidence. Encourage personal, social, and emotional development through activities and routines. Follow and contribute to care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies. Maintain a safe, nurturing home environment. Keep clear, accurate records and report changes in behaviour or wellbeing. Work in partnership with families, colleagues, and external professionals. Travel where required to support young people in different settings.
Shifts follow a regular 2-week rolling rota, providing structure and a balanced approach to work-life commitments.

What We're Looking For

Essential:



Experience supporting children or young people (residential care or similar setting preferred). Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and positive relationships. Patience, empathy, resilience, and a genuine commitment to helping others. Good understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Flexibility to work a structured rota including evenings and weekends. A team player with a collaborative, supportive approach.

Desirable:



NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or Children and Young People's Workforce. First Aid training. Experience supporting children with complex or challenging behaviours. Full UK driving licence.
