About with Friends is a Cromer based charity working with young people and adults with learning disabilities, some of whom may also have physical or sensory disabilities or behaviours that challenge.
Our aim is to support our members in living the life of their choice, developing skills and confidence for independence and to have friendships and be a part of their local community.
Our Bespoke service is a mainly 1:1 based programme which caters to the member's individual needs. The service tailors activities and timetables to an individual based on their needs and ability, this can include therapy based sessions, access to our Workskills service, social events and a variety of group activities.
Overall purpose of the job:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Support Worker to join our team to deliver individual bespoke activity/work based activities encouraging members to try new experiences, develop their communication, self-esteem, confidence and encourage friendships within their peer group.This 30 hour post will be split over 4 working days including some early mornings (8am start) and evening work (21.30 finish) . Shifts will be on a rota basis including occasional Saturdays.
