About Us

Thrive Together Support provides day opportunities for adults with learning disabilities in a supportive, inclusive, and empowering environment. Through life skills training, social activities, and personalised support, we help individuals build confidence and meaningful connections. Our Befriending Service offers 1:1 support tailored to the needs and interests of each person.

Role Purpose

To provide companionship and practical 1:1 support to adults with learning disabilities, promoting independence, social inclusion, and confidence in day-to-day activities and community settings.

Key Responsibilities

Build a supportive, trusting relationship with the individual you're matched with Support with activities such as: Shopping, outings, or appointments Hobbies, interests, and accessing community groups Life skills such as travel training, cooking, or budgeting Encourage confidence, communication, and decision-making Promote safety, dignity, and independence Maintain clear and respectful communication with the team and family/carers Keep basic notes on activities and any concerns Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, and health and safety procedures

What We're Looking For

Friendly, patient, and compassionate Reliable and consistent Comfortable working independently and using initiative Good communication and interpersonal skills Understanding of learning disabilities and/or autism (or willingness to learn) Flexible and able to adapt to each individual's needs

Essential Requirements

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle with business insurance Willingness to undergo a PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) check References required

Desirable

Experience in care, support work, or voluntary roles Knowledge of local community resources and activities

Pay: 12.21-13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 16 per week
