to support a pupil with visual impairments. This is a part-time role (around 15 hours per week) with consistent daily support expected. The role is anticipated to continue for up to 18 months as the pupil transitions to secondary school.
The focus of the role will be providing physical support and guidance to help the pupil access learning and participate fully in the school day.
Key Responsibilities
Work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil with visual impairments.
Provide physical assistance and guidance around the classroom and school environment.
Support access to learning materials and activities.
Collaborate with the class teacher and SEND team to ensure effective support strategies.
Promote independence, safety, and inclusion.
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting children in a school setting (experience with SEND/visual impairments is desirable but not essential).
A caring, patient, and proactive approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
