Elderly Services Officer (Casual)

, you'll play a vital role in delivering a 24-hour social alarm monitoring and mobile response service that truly makes a difference. Working at the heart of the community, you'll provide practical support and reassurance to vulnerable customers, responding swiftly and sensitively to their needs.

Key Responsibilities



Respond promptly and professionally to alerts and incidents, ensuring customer safety and wellbeing at all times. Install, demonstrate, and maintain Telecare equipment in customers' homes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and follow-up. Identify vulnerable customers and refer them to appropriate support services where necessary. Use a computerised stock control system for managing and allocating Telecare equipment. Handle customer queries with empathy and a solution-focused approach. Apply manual handling techniques to support customers, following training and safety guidelines. Promote inclusive practices and ensure equality, diversity, and inclusion are central to all service delivery. Proactively report and follow up on health and safety concerns.

What you'll need to succeed



A genuine commitment to supporting older and vulnerable people with care and respect. Confidence in using digital tools, including mobile devices, Telecare systems, and Microsoft Office applications. A full, clean driving licence and the ability to travel to customers' homes as required. Experience handling emergencies and making sound decisions under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm, clear, and compassionate. Flexibility to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed. A values-driven approach that aligns with our principles: acting with good intentions, communicating openly, listening carefully, and working together.


A satisfactory DBS check will be required for this role.
