About the Role
We're looking for a passionate, detail-oriented 3D Printing Operator to support our daily production operations. In this role, you'll be responsible for conducting material preparation for 3D printing (pre-printing tests), running, maintaining, and monitoring industrial 3D printers and other equipment, performing post-processing of high-precision components used in the aerospace and energy sectors. This position is an entry-level job, entailing material mixing and preparation, sanding, finishing, and cleaning printed components, maintaining, repairing, and monitoring printers and other heavy-duty machineries. A considerable proportion of the daily job is to deal with cleaning the build-platform of the printers and the parts, as well as working with different chemical and ceramic powder, hence compliance with H&S regulation is on top of all requirements. The operators will be wearing face-masks, gloves, and other PPEs.
Key Responsibilities
Material preparation (ceramic/polymer) for 3D printing and testing.
Operate, monitor, and maintain 3D printers and other equipment.
Post-process printed components, including: IPA cleaning, sanding, support removal, surface finishing, and other manual operations.
Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Support engineers and researchers during production trials and R&D activities.
Assist with quality checks and the packing/shipping of finished goods
Manage daily task prioritisation across multiple active projects.
Work directly under supervision of the engineers and researchers to meet production targets
Any other relevant or related duties or ad hoc assignments as outlined and required by the Project Manager or wider business.
Requirements
Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
Strong attention to details; Keen eye for detail to consistently deliver high-quality parts
Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to learn and proven ability to work independently in a fast-paced engineering environment.
