Job Description

Office Evolution is an expanding local business which has diversified from the supply of printers and photocopiers to providing a full range of office solutions, including many environmentally friendly options.

As our business continues to grow and evolve, we have created a new opportunity for an experienced accounts administrator to join our team on a part-time basis.

The successful candidate will support the smooth running of the office by providing effective finance and administrative support.

About the role:



- Ensuring the day-to-day financial processes run smoothly, including processing accounts payable and accounts receivable in a timely manner, issuing remittances, reconciling credit card statements and responding to invoice queries;

Calculating monthly meterage for our machines to support accurate billing; Monitoring debtors and chasing late payments by telephone; Providing financial information to, and liaising with, our external accountant; Supporting the team with processing contract renewals for managed print services to maximise business opportunities and provide a high level of customer service; Supporting the preparation of VAT Returns in line with statutory requirements; Providing cover as part of the support team, including varied reception, customer service and administration tasks as required; Acting as a point of contact for stakeholders on financial and accounting matters, including being proactive in resolving queries; Contributing to improving administrative and finance procedures to enhance the smooth running of the business.

About you:



You will be friendly and professional, with excellent numeracy skills and solid finance support experience including invoicing, reconciliations and credit control. You will be a focused and detail orientated individual who is also a clear communicator with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.

You will have good English skills (shown by Level 2 qualification or above). You may have an AAT qualification, but more important is your experience, positive attitude and customer focus.

IT literacy is essential - including MS Office packages (primarily Word, Excel and Outlook), experience of using bookkeeping software (ideally Xero) and CRM systems.

This is a part-time position working 20-25 hours per week. To ensure the continuity of admin support throughout the week, we would like you to work Monday to Friday but there is flexibility to choose your start and finish time within our office opening hours. As this is a new role, there is the opportunity to put your own stamp on it and potentially increase the breadth of duties and hours over time, depending on business needs.

Salary 26 to 28,000 pro rata depending on experience
