Job Description

Jensten Accounts team are seeking an Accounts Technician to join their efficient and friendly team on a 6 month fixed term contract.


In this role, you will provide insurance broker accounting support to our Underwriting department, ensuring invoices are paid on time and in line with regulation. You will be joining a fantastic team that is the heartbeat of our finance function based in our head office in Huntingdon, with the flexibility to work 3 days in the office and two from home. We will also consider experienced candidates to work remotely if you live further afield.


Similar to both credit control and accounts payable you will be involved in speaking to both customers and clients, managing payments and reconciling accounts to a high standard. There is variety and breadth in the role and you will need to build fantastic relationships with your key external stakeholders and ensure these payments are made on time and in line with procedures.

Some key objectives & responsibilities will include

:


Insurer statement reconciliations and following up any discrepancies Creating payment advice documents to submit to insurers Reconcile and balance day and month ends Calculate commissions due Produce and send credit control and aged debt reports as appropriate

About you

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye to details, good Excel experience and the ability to pick up systems and procedures quickly.

A collaborative and innovative approach to working Act with integrity at all times when working with stakeholders Strong accuracy and time management skills Enjoy working with numbers with the ability to work to deadlines Good communication skills, both verbal and written Proficient level of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge - experience of V-Lookups is preferred.
