KP Simpson Ltd is experiencing rapid growth and is seeking a talented client-facing Accountant to join our dynamic team. Based in Jarrow and South Shields, we serve a diverse client base across England and Scotland. Please note, this position cannot consider overseas applications. No visa sponsership available.

You must be fully eligible to work full-time and be a resident in the UK at the time of application to be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities

Prepare and complete accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Manage and submit CT600s, VAT returns, and self-assessment tax returns Deliver management accounts and provide insightful financial analysis Liaise directly with clients, addressing queries and building strong relationships Oversee client portfolios, ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations Utilise accountancy software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and TaxCalc Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a seamless, personalised service
Requirements

Minimum 2 years' experience in UK tax accountancy (essential) Proven track record preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and leading accountancy software Confident communicator with experience meeting and advising clients Certificate of Higher Education in a relevant field (preferred) Ability to reliably commute to Jarrow NE32 5JA or plan to relocate before starting Full-time, in-person availability
