We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our financial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing reports, and supporting the organisation's financial health through accurate bookkeeping and analysis. Duties
Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms
Prepare and review financial statements, reports, and budgets in accordance with organisational policies and standards
Oversee accounts payable processes, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping
Assist with accounts receivable activities, including invoicing and collections
Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
Reconcile bank statements and ensure compliance with financial regulations
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior staff or interns within the finance department
Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective financial management across the organisation
Contribute to process improvements in financial workflows and reporting systems
Qualifications
Proven experience in financial accounting or related roles within financial services or similar sectors
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems
Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Demonstrated ability to mentor colleagues or interns in a professional environment
Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are preferred but not essential; equivalent experience will be considered
