We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting principles especially relating to accounts of law firm, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy. This role involves managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making within the organisation.
Duties
Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with established guidelines.
Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, PeopleSoft, or Sage to streamline financial operations.
Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and financial accounts to ensure accuracy.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior finance staff.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards, conducting audits as necessary.
Assist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
Experience
Proven experience in financial accounting or a related field is essential.
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, PeopleSoft, or Sage is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial management principles.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
Experience in mentoring or training staff is an advantage.
A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with substantial relevant experience.
