Alta Asset Management is a growing hospitality group operating a portfolio of 7 successful and dynamic hospitality businesses across the UK. As we continue to expand, we are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented

Accounts Assistant

to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to grow their career alongside a rapidly evolving company.

The Role:

As an Accounts Assistant, you will support the finance function across all businesses within the group. Your responsibilities will include processing payroll, managing supplier invoices, reconciling bank feeds, and assisting with the preparation of monthly financial reports. You will work closely with our external accountants to ensure all financial reporting is timely, accurate, and aligned with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Process payroll for all group businesses accurately and in a timely manner Process, match, and pay supplier invoices Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable Reconcile bank feeds and ensure all transactions are recorded correctly Liaise with external accountants to support the production of monthly management accounts and financial reports Assist with cash flow monitoring and forecasting Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures Support ad hoc finance and administrative tasks as required
About You:

Previous experience in a finance or accounts assistant role (hospitality experience is a plus) Strong understanding of payroll and basic accounting principles Confident using accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or similar) Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Strong Excel skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude A proactive, problem-solving mindset AAT qualified or working towards a finance/accounting qualification (preferred but not essential)
