Job Description

David Burr is an independent sales and letting agent with 7 regional offices specialising in individual and character properties. We have just been awarded Investors in People status for the 15th year running.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, personable accounts administrator to work within our management team based in Long Melford, Suffolk. The role requires strong administration / organisation skills and confidence dealing with clients.

Previous industry experience is ideal but not essential. However candidate must have previous accounts experience.

Monday - Friday from 8.45am to 5.00pm.

Overview



We are seeking a highly organised, detail-oriented, and logical Lettings Accounts Administrator to join our Management Team. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting mindset, an appetite for learning, and a genuine interest in financial processes within the Lettings/Holiday Let Management industry.

Key Responsibilities



Landlord, tenant, owner and guest payments. Payment of supplier invoices. Process payment requests including landlord refunds and tenancy deposit releases. Be the primary point of contact for accounts-related landlord, tenant, owner and guest queries via email and telephone. Collaborate with Management Team to ensure consistent financial and administrative processes. Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems (digital and physical). Assist in preparing financial reports and documentation for internal and external use. Assist management team with general day to day management of properties and holiday lets.

Skills



Minimum of 2 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role. At least 1 year's experience in client accounting or lettings accounts administration. Excellent numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent time-management and organisational skills. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Logical thinker with a problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.

Preferred



Working knowledge of Jupix or similar property related software Familiarity with lettings/property management finance operations

Person Specification



Logical, meticulous, and solution-oriented. Enthusiastic about accounting processes and system improvement. Able to handle multiple tasks under pressure with calm efficiency. Clear communicator, both verbally and in writing. Eager to learn and develop professionally within the role.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 25,000.00-27,500.00 per year
