We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our friendly and supportive team, based in Kelvedon.
Assisting with client queries via telephone and email
Liaising with suppliers and maintaining strong relationships
Processing payments accurately and efficiently
Conducting credit checks and processing new business applications
Chasing and managing overdue debt to ensure timely payments
Reconciling supplier invoices and ensuring accuracy
Performing daily bank reconciliations
Issuing invoices to customers and managing records
Downloading bank statements and allocating customer payments accordingly
Processing direct debits and maintaining accurate records
Actioning Experian monitoring notifications to support business decisions
Carrying out any other ad hoc duties as required by management
Requirements:
Previous experience in an accounts or finance role is desirable
Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement
Must be able to drive due to office location
Benefits:
Competitive salary based on experience, 27,000 - 30,000 pa
Monday to Friday, 9am - 5.30pm
