Responsibilities:
Accounts receivable - raising sales invoices, credit notes, monthly statements & allocating payments
Accounts payable - processing supplier invoices, reconciling statements
Processing supplier payments
Processing bank receipts & payments from the bank statement daily
Reconciliation of shop takings from multiple locations
Credit control
Bank reconciliation
Credit card and petty cash reconciliation
Processing monthly payroll information
Submitting quarterly VAT returns
Cashflow forecasting
Preparing monthly management information reports
Liaising with colleagues in all departments
Experience:
Previous hands-on experience in an accounting role
Accountancy qualification or qualified by experience
Proficient in SAGE accounting, MS Word and Excel
Ability to prioritise a busy workload
Familiarity with financial reporting and forecasting
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
Excellent organizational, interpersonal and time management skills
The successful candidate will work at head office alongside experienced colleagues in administration departments.
