The Role



We are seeking an experienced

Accounts Administrator

to join our team.

The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Record and reconcile all financial transactions, including sales, purchases, payments, receipts, and expenses using Clear Books.

Maintain and monitor accounts payable and receivable ledgers, including processing supplier invoices and managing payments.

Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Prepare and submit VAT returns accurately and on time.

Assist in generating monthly financial reports including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

Support the preparation of annual financial statements and audit processes.

Track and report on cash flow and contribute to budgeting and forecasting exercises.

Help identify and resolve accounting inconsistencies or irregularities.

Maintain proper filing and backup of all finance-related documentation.

Manage payroll employee expense claims, and pension submissions (where required)

Assist the external accountants and others with ad hoc financial tasks and analysis.

Liaise effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders, including vendors and auditors.

Essential Skills:



Minimum 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar finance role.

Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices.

Proficient in using accounting software (experience with Clear Books preferred).

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise deadlines, and work independently.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

A degree in relevant field is desirable

Desirable



Experience preparing VAT returns.

Familiarity with UK financial regulations and HMRC guidelines.

AAT qualification or working towards one is desirable

Other



Must be legally entitled to work in the UK and/or EU and be fluent in English.

Flexibility to travel to project sites in for onsite inspections when required.
