We're now looking for an
experienced Accounts Assistant
with a background in
accountancy practice
to join our finance team at our Birmingham head office. This is a rare opportunity to gain exposure within a professional investment environment, working closely with our CFO.
The Role
You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the smooth running of multiple group entities.
Your day-to-day duties will include:
Bookkeeping and maintaining accurate ledgers
Processing
payroll
using
Sage
and
Payroll Manager
software
Preparing and submitting
VAT returns
Assisting with
management accounts
and
year-end accounts
Performing
bank reconciliations
and managing multi-entity cash flow
Processing purchase and sales invoices
Supporting
tax compliance
using
Taxcalc
Assisting the CFO with ad-hoc financial reporting and analysis
What We're Looking For
Minimum
2 years' experience
in an
accountancy practice
or financial services environment
Proficiency with
Sage
,
Payroll Manager
, and
Taxcalc
AAT Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification preferred
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll procedures
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident, professional, and able to manage multiple tasks in a boutique office setting
