The Accounts / Office Assistant will work closely with Tee to Green the Club's accountant in providing information they require to complete monthly and annual accounts. Tasks will include scanning and inputting purchase invoices, cash counting, expenses reconciliation and staff hours reporting including tips. Answering phones and general office administrative work will also be part of the job. The position demands a blend of administrative precision and the ability to communicate effectively with other staff and members of the golf club.
Key responsibilities
Be the primary contact between the Golf Club and
Tee to Green
(our online outsourced accountants)
Send electronic information regarding: Invoices, using Dex. Payroll, using Rota Cloud
Ensure information on IG is up to date.
Reconcile daily cash/takings from Bar & Catering and Professional Shop and complete banking (including paying in cash to the Post Office account).
Divide tips equally between full-time bar and catering staff monthly.
Debtors - deal with overdue amounts and seek resolution.
Deal with emails on the accounts email account.
To control Purchase orders, ensuring the correct approvals have been given.
To assist in the collection and processing of subscriptions, locker fees, and buggy and trolley storage.
Respond quickly to requests for information from
Tee to Green.
Reporting to the Office Supervisor and liaison with Club Chairman and Chair of Finance
General office duties to include answering the telephone and keeping workstations tidy.

Cooden Beach Golf Club is on the South Coast near to Bexhill and Eastbourne. A Herbert Fowler designed course that was founded in 1912 with over 700 members across all categories. Essential Criteria
Experience of using Xero or similar accounting package preferred
Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel competent
Ability to manage sensitive data with confidentiality and professionalism.
Organised, dependable and able to manage workload independently.
Excellent communication skills
Desirable Criteria
Knowledge of Customer Relations Mamagement Systems.
Previous experience of working within a member's golf club.
