We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by managing various administrative tasks, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining organised records. This position requires strong organisational skills.
Responsibilities
Perform accurate data entry for financial transactions and maintain up-to-date records.
Handle day-to-day administrative tasks, including filing, scanning, and archiving documents.
Manage incoming phone calls and emails with professionalism and courtesy.
Support the finance team in processing invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
Maintain an organised filing system for both physical and electronic documents.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the department.
Requirements
Proven experience in an administrative or clerical role is preferred.
Strong computer skills would be beneficial although training can be given.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is advantageous.
Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective phone etiquette and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and task management.
