About the job





Working as part of our finance team, the role will involve all aspects of the accounts payable process.


Your main responsibilities will be:




Process invoices and credit notes, which include matching to purchase orders and inputting to SAP. Webcycle: send invoices out to budget holder for approval and liaise with the PO requisitioner regarding GRN's. Checking the input of invoices to SAP Preparation of the weekly and month end payment proposals, Chaps payments and manual cheques, while ensuring the internal control process for authorisation of payments is followed. Dealing with the suppliers and 3rd parties who manage outsourced activities on invoice related queries. Supplier statement reconciliation. Liaise with the contracts team regarding changes to the vendor files. Inputting of foreign currency invoices. Responding to relevant supplier enquiries Carry out dunning letters run. Open and sort mail addressed to the finance department. Any other Ad Hoc duties as requested by Senior Management

You'll need:




Recent accounts payable experience preferably gained in a high-volume environment. Knowledge of SAP and Neptune/Webcycle is highly desirable. You will be comfortable undertaking basic manipulation of data on Excel (formulas, filter, sort) and will have a good general grasp of IT. Strong verbal and written communication skills as there is frequent contact with both internal and external customers. Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality

About the location





South Western Railways HQ is based on the 4th Floor at South Bank Central, a stone's throw from the River Thames and a 10 minute walk from our busiest station, Waterloo. It is local to many well-known attractions, restaurants and retail facilities and is easily accessible by public transport.


Working pattern





37 hours across 5 days per week. Typically, Monday - Friday, office hours.


Additional Information





Applicants who require a visa, must have at least 6 months remaining at the time of appointment.
