About the Role



We are seeking a dedicated and proactive

New Business & Construction Administrator

to support the administration of a fast-paced and dynamic New Business/Construction Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in utilities or construction--and a desire to grow--to join an independent, family-owned company that values initiative, teamwork, and career development.

Key Responsibilities



File Management

- Creating enquiry and construction files (paper and SimPRO)


System Updates

- Maintaining and updating SimPRO with live project data


Utility Coordination

- Handling applications and communications with DNOs, including Point of Connection, Section 50s, TTROs, and energisation packs


Liaison Duties

- Working with customers, internal teams (design/estimating engineers), and subcontractors


Fault & Minor Works

- Liaising with Project Managers and teams; preparing and finalising reports and packs


Procurement Support

- Raising requisitions in Sage and obtaining supplier material quotes


Meetings & Scheduling

- Attending enquiry/construction meetings and managing weekly work schedules


Document Management

- Preparing RAMS, archiving completed projects, and handling post and filing duties

Ideal Candidate



Experience:

Prior admin experience essential; utilities, DNO/IDNO, or construction industry background is highly desirable


Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ideally Sage Familiarity with SimPRO is an advantage (training provided) Strong communication (written and verbal) and organisational skills

Flexibility:

Monday to Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm; Friday 8:30am-4:00pm

Relevant Qualifications:

Not essential but any industry-related training or certifications will be advantageous
