As an AAT Level 4 qualified accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting our financial operations and client services. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and wants to make a real impact in a growing business. You will work closely with the leadership team and directly with clients to provide accurate, timely, and insightful financial information.
Responsibilities
Prepare and submit VAT returns, management accounts, and financial reports* Assist with year-end accounts preparation* Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations* Maintain accurate ledgers (purchase, sales, nominal)* Support process improvement and automation initiatives* Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and internal controls* Provide ad hoc financial support to the management team as needed*
Experience
AAT Level 4 qualified (or equivalent experience)* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar accounting role* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and VAT rules* Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel* Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills* Comfortable working independently and managing multiple deadlines* Strong interpersonal and communication skills - client-focused mindset* Adaptable, proactive, and eager to contribute to a growing team*
