We're looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated intern to join our product development team. This hands-on role involves supporting various acoustic R&D projects to help deliver against our acoustics roadmap, working alongside experienced engineers to test, iterate, and refine new loudspeaker technologies. In addition, more general product development tasks would be required.
You'll be helping shape the future of active loudspeakers--making them sound better and perform beyond expectations. Expect a mix of simulation, physical prototyping, acoustic testing, mechanical design, and signal processing work. If you love loudspeakers and have an engineering mindset, this could be a perfect fit.
Responsibilities
Assisting with prototyping and research tasks across our acoustics roadmap.
Supporting loudspeaker prototype builds.
Running acoustic measurements to characterise objective performance.
Perform listening tests to evaluate subjective performance.
Testing and iterating on physical concepts to validate performance improvements.
Running simulations and helping analyse DSP implementations.
Documenting experiments, findings, and observations clearly.
Working alongside experienced engineers and designers, contributing your own ideas.
Requirements
You might be studying or recently graduated in acoustics, audio engineering, electronics, or mechanical engineering or similar--but most importantly, you're:
Passionate about loudspeakers, sound, and acoustic design.
Have undertaken
DIY or university loudspeaker projects.
Familiar with tools like
REW, Flowstone, MATLAB/Octave
, for acoustic measurement and analysis.
Comfortable with
3D CAD tools
(e.g. FreeCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks) and ideally some 3D printing experience.
Has a
foundational understanding of DSP
(filters, crossovers, EQs).
Handy with tools - soldering, modding HW, assembling loudspeakers.
Always asking: How can we make this better, faster, smarter?* (Bonus)Hands-on experience with

transducer specifications, waveguides, or other enclosure topologies.
(Bonus)Exposure to
embedded audio systems
(e.g. Raspberry Pi, DSP boards, PCB prototyping).

Working Pattern & Duration
This is a full-time role.
Initial 3-month internship, with potential for extension and/or permanent role depending on performance.
Location
- Remote/Hybrid (UK Based)
This is a remote-first role, with some travel to our London Bridge office as required. All travel costs are covered, plus accommodation costs if/when required and pre-authorised.
The ideal candidate will live within reasonable commuting distance of London Bridge.
That said,
we may be open to applications from outside Greater London

Compensation
Paid Internship: 25,000 per annum. Plus reimbursement of travel expenses to our London Bridge office at cost.
