Shifts:

A rotating shift pattern of 4 days on, 4 days off, with early shifts from 06:00 to 18:00 and late shifts from 10:00 to 22:00.

The role



The Duty Manager is responsible for the effective daily management of the operation and facility ensuring both internal and external customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction and maintaining high standards of health & safety, quality service and operational efficiency. The role will also be tasked with controlling operations costs and productivity, whilst guaranteeing compliance with regulations and all relevant CFL policies and procedures.

About CFL



CFL is the only licenced courier shed in operation at Heathrow Airport. We are the fastest way to connect shipments to airlines. All imports come directly to us from the aircraft, meaning all goods are ready for collection in just 60 minutes after flights arrive.

Job requirements



To lead and motivate staff through effective communication, strong leadership, and consistent performance feedback.

To effectively communicate relevant information to the Operations Team, ensuring employees receive proper training and coaching to develop the necessary skills and knowledge for their roles

To support leadership development and succession planning by identifying growth opportunities and creating development plans.

To meet targets for delivering on time and in perfect condition to achieve customer satisfaction through an optimised and standardised operations process at optimum cost.

Ensure full compliance with all aspects of Aviation Security, including screening of materials, vetting of employees, and adhere to required training standards as outlined by the Department for Transport (DfT).

To ensure that the Operations staff meet and exceed the Health & Safety and Environment regulations and to be recognised as a pro-active force for good in every community in which we operate.

To ensure that all employees maintain individual performance and conduct at the level expected by CFL. When individuals fail to meet expectations, take appropriate action to address performance issues and uphold company standards.

To contribute to the effective rollout of any operational projects assigned, through contribution of professional expertise and leadership.

Qualification and Experience



Previous Cargo experience is required

Experience managing a diverse team

Successful candidates will be required to complete a 5-year DBS check

No criminal record

Flexibility and a team player attitude
