Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Activity Leader to join our dedicated team in providing engaging and meaningful activities for residents in our care home. The Activity Leader will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for seniors, particularly those living with dementia, by facilitating social, recreational, and therapeutic activities that promote well-being and foster community spirit.

Duties

Deliver seated sport sessions in line with Rise session plan. Engage residents in both individual and group activities that stimulate cognitive function and encourage social interaction. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to understand the needs and preferences of each individual. Monitor resident participation and provide support as needed to ensure a positive experience for all participants. Foster a warm and welcoming environment that encourages residents to participate actively in their care home community.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar role within assisted living or nursing home settings is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect with seniors on a personal level. A creative mindset with the ability to develop engaging activity programmes that cater to diverse interests.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 10 per week
