This is a job like no other. As a Character Tour Guide your duties will include: entertaining guests at a genuine historical site, staying in character all day and interacting with all visitors as your specific character, hosting tours to public/private/school groups, performing in shows, taking part in special events and other site duties.

Our tours and shows include: a children's tour, a myths, legends & gruesome history tour and a fascinating heritage tour.

Previous acting / amateur theatre / musical theatre or public performance experience is essential. You will need an ability to take direction, learn scripts and above all have enthusiasm and confidence.

The Silver Mountain Experience is open 7 days a week during much of its summer season therefore you will be required to work some weekends and bank holidays. You will need to be fully available throughout the Summer holidays. Busy times are also other half-terms such as Halloween and Christmas.

This position is suitable for those aged 18 and above.

Salary:

Above NMW/National Living Wage plus Holiday Pay

Experience:

Acting/Public speaking is essential, in addition to an ability to learn scripts and take direction.

Car owner/driver highly desirable due to our location. Welsh language an advantage.

Pay: 10.50-12.70 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
