About the Role
Newquay BID is looking for an organised, proactive individual who is passionate about seeing Newquay thrive. Working closely with local businesses and stakeholders, you will support the BID Manager in delivering the town centre business plan focused on increasing footfall, supporting business growth, and promoting Newquay as a leading UK destination.
As Admin BID Assistant, you will act as an ambassador for the BID, engaging positively with member businesses while working in a fast-paced, evolving environment to support our mission of boosting footfall, spending, and investment in Newquay.
A working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Mailchimp, and WordPress is beneficial for this role.
Key Duties and Responsibilities Content and Communications
Write, design, and schedule social media posts for Newquay BID B2B.
Create a bi-weekly business newsletter using Mailchimp.
Write and distribute press releases to local journalists.
Update Newquay BID website pages using WordPress.
Administrative Support
Organise, schedule, and attend meetings.
Produce agendas, reports, and take accurate meeting minutes.
Maintain contact lists and databases.
Assist with day-to-day office administrative processes.
Member Engagement
Answer and field calls and emails in a shared inbox professionally and promptly.
Support the BID Manager in building and maintaining a positive, inclusive relationship with all BID levy payers, maintaining an open-door approach.
Provide event support and represent Newquay BID at events, occasionally over weekends (with time off in lieu).
About You
You are enthusiastic about making a difference in Newquay and supporting its businesses.
You are highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
You are confident in liaising with businesses, suppliers, and stakeholders with a positive and can-do attitude.
You have good written communication skills, with experience in writing newsletters, press releases, and social media content.
You ideally have a working knowledge of Microsoft 365, Mailchimp, and WordPress or are willing to learn quickly.
